15 Weeks

16 Weeks

Hi sweet baby,

You're 16 weeks big right now. Somewhere between 4 to 4 1/2 inches and 3.5 ounces. I can't believe how much you grow every week. I love hearing how you've doubled in size since the previous week :)

I think I'm finally starting to get some of my energy back.. and boy am I thankful for that! Not that I didn't love every minute of being lazy in bed with you :)

According to TheBump.com you can start hearing my voice this week! We might have to start reading some stories out loud together!

On Saturday we are hopefully going to find out if you're a little girl or a little boy :) I can't wait!

14 Weeks

13 Weeks

Hi baby :)

Hopefully from now on, there will actual pictures of YOU in my belly - and not just fruit :) Even so, today you are the size of a peach. That's almost 3 inches long! You have fingerprints this week too! Crazy stuff, huh?

I still get some queasiness every now and then, but for the most part you've been very nice to be these whole 13 weeks!

I don't think I've told you yet - but in just 3 short weeks we will hopefully be finding out if you're a little boy or a little girl! We have an appointment on Saturday, June 30th at a place in Bloomington. They guarantee they'll be able to tell the sex as early as 16 weeks! I can't wait!!

12 Weeks

I wish that blogger was more compatiable with my computer at work. I'm always so late posting my weekly updates!

I picked up a plum at the grocery store on Sunday night and was amazed that you were so big already! We told some more people since the last time I wrote. My aunt Melinda now knows and so does my Grandma and Grandpa. Exciting stuff :)

 Our next appointment got pushed back a week, so we don't get to hear your sweet heartbeat for another 3 weeks :( Thankfully, I have our Doppler at home!

Nothing else really new to report. I threw up once on Wednesday but haven't since. That makes a total of 2 times this whole pregnancy. Not so bad, huh? Thanks for being easy on me :) I have been pretty tired and get worn out easy but that's par for the course. Can't wait until another week passes - one less week I have to wait to see you, sweetie!

11 Weeks

Hi baby!

 Another week has come and gone. Only 30 weeks left (give or take) until you'll be in your daddy and I's arms! I hope you're as excited for that day as we are :) I love hearing your daddy talk about you. He's so excited! We still haven't told many people, but we plan on telling your Grandma Karen and Great-Grandma Judy soon. And then if all goes well at your 14 week appointment, we plan on telling the rest of the world! :) I suppose you would like to see how big you are right now..

You're the size of a lime! I remember when you were the size of an apple seed at 5 weeks - look how much you've grown! We won't get another ultrasound until 20 weeks :( but everywhere I read says that you are dancing and twisting and moving all around inside of me right now!

I can't wait to meet you.. grow strong, little one.

10 Weeks

Hi baby! When I started to write the title on the this post, I wrote "11 Weeks" - I wish time was moving that fast ;) This is how big you are right now:

I've still been feeling pretty good - nausea comes and goes, but it's never horrible! I'll still be glad when it's over in a few weeks (hopefully)

 Exciting news - we had our first actual OB appointment. While it didn't go anything like I thought it would.. we DID get to hear your heartbeat! It was amazing :) It sounded like a whole bunch of galloping horses and the doctor said it was in the perfect range. 168! I wonder if you're a little boy or girl.. :) Can't wait to find out in 10 more weeks!

9 Weeks

Hi baby, You are 9 weeks old today! Wondering how big you are? I'll show you.. :)

I think that the most exciting part is that you're finally considered a fetus and not just an embryo! You're growing up so fast.. ;)

 I've been feeling alright so far. My tummy hurts quite a bit during the day, but you've only made me throw up once! I feel really bad that I'm not eating as good as I know I should. Usually, if anything sounds appealing.. it's junk food. You have your mama's sweet tooth already! I haven't stepped on the scale yet - but I don't feel like I've gained a lot of weight. I've been wearing my BeBand during the day with my work pants because I get soo bloated after I eat anything. I can't wait until I have an actual baby bump and can show you off!

 We have our next appointment next Wednesday and I can't wait to hear your heartbeat! I'm almost sure that I got to hear it on our Doppler at home the other night - but I haven't been able to find a good reading on it again. You're probably just being a little stinker :) I still try every night though!

We have a heartbeat!

Hi little one,

Welcome to our family :) You wouldn't even believe how much you are loved already! I found out that I was pregnant on April 4th. Because I had just had a miscarriage a few months ago and never got my period again, I had no idea how far along I was. I called the doctor right away and he said that I would have to wait 2 weeks to come in.

Even though I was so excited at the thought of you, I tried my hardest not to let myself think of you. It broke our hearts to lose our baby the first time. I would hate to get my hopes up again like that.

On Tuesday we went the doctor and they whisked us into the ultrasound room right away! Guess what we saw?? YOU! You and your tiny, beautiful heartbeat.

Now I will let myself think of you. Every minute of every day!
